About Us:

Frost Unmanned AB is an innovative leader in the development and deployment of high-performance fixed-wing drone technology and unmanned surface vehicles (USVs). We serve military clients with advanced unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including the Tracer 160, and USVs, such as the Arrow 600, designed for endurance, range, and mission-critical data capture in demanding environments. Having successfully proven our product-market fit, we’re now entering a rapid scaling phase, expanding production, optimizing operations, and building out the next generation of our technology and infrastructure. We’re seeking a strategic and execution-focused Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team and help shape the future of aerial and maritime intelligence.

Role Overview:

As COO, you will translate our vision into operational excellence. You’ll oversee end-to-end operations, from supply chain and manufacturing to logistics, compliance, and team management, ensuring the company scales efficiently and meets ambitious growth targets. This key leadership role requires an experienced operator with a deep understanding of aerospace or hardware startups, preferably in regulated, high-tech sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute scalable systems and processes for manufacturing, supply chain, and quality control.

• Lead drone and USV production and testing capacity expansion, managing facilities and vendor relationships.

• Build and manage cross-functional operational teams, fostering a high-performance, safety-conscious culture.

• Identify bottlenecks and implement Lean or Agile principles for continuous improvement.

• Ensure compliance with EASA, MOD, or other applicable regulatory bodies.

• Develop robust supplier networks and manage inventory, procurement, and logistics.

• Work with the CFO and finance teams to manage budgets, reduce costs, and improve margins.

• Support strategic initiatives, including government contracts, joint ventures, or international expansion.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a COO, VP of Operations, or senior operations leader in a hardware tech, aerospace, robotics, or drone/UAV company.

• Strong track record of scaling operations from early-stage to mid-market or enterprise level.

• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards (ISO, AS9100), and supply chain dynamics.

• Experience in regulated industries (EASA, MIL, NATO, etc.) is a strong plus.

• Hands-on, data-driven leader with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
